Michelle
"I knew that I had come face to face with some one whose mere personality was so fascinating that, if I allowed it to do so, it would absorb my whole nature, my whole soul, my very art itself." -Oscar Wilde
This is Michelle's Best Friend Jordan. They are too cute.
I had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures of this fun , beautiful girl. We had a joint session so that she could take pictures with her best boy and girl friend. It was so much fun and I have to say, are those not the most gorgeous freckles!? Love them.

"Wither would you wander?... Far and Far Away, Among the Meadows" - Tennyson
"Dainty little maiden, whither would you wander?
Whither from this pretty house, this city-house of ours?
"Far and far away," said the dainty little maiden,
"All among the meadows, the clover and the clematis,
Daisies and kingcups and honeysuckle-flowers." -Tennyson
This poem seems so appropriate to me, especially taking senior portraits. I think for parents, it is bittersweet, thinking of their children that have grown up beautiful. They are so proud, yet it's so hard to let them go. Brittany was so beautiful to take pictures of. Look at that gorgeous red dress. I wish her the best as she graduates from high school and moves on to college where lots of adventures are sure to happen.

"My little dog -- a heartbeat at my feet." ~ Edith Wharton
"Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes!" ~ Theophile Gautier
Well aren't these the most darling pups you have ever seen. I have to say I had to resist with all my might to not put my camera down and snuggle these darling girls. Anyone that really knows me, or probably even hardly knows me, understands what I mean when I say this. I love animals, I have grown up with them since the moment I was born. Quite honestly, most of my fondest memories and influential moments of my life are attributed to my pets that I had. Don't worry I'm not forgetting my family, because our pets really are and were family. As a child it amazed me that when I was upset or crying my animals were always right there comforting me. I will defend till the day I die that our pets do have that relationship and bond with us. They all have their unique personalities and quirks. Anyone that doesn't think so, you just haven't ever had a pet because I don't see how you could miss that :). Spending time with these darling girls, reminded me of all the pets I have currently in my life and the pets I have lost that I still cry about and miss incredibly. Mostly, my horse Dreaming Glow. She raised me. My mom always said that she did. She was the angel of angels and I really did feel protected and taken care of when I was with her. Losing her three summer's ago was one of the hardest goodbye's I had ever faced. She was our first horse and my parents bought her when I was around 4 years old. In a lot of ways, I still don't think I have completely let go and miss her terribly still. But, I have the sweetest most precious memories of her and our many adventures.

"Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future." ~Gail Lumet Buckley
Here is a sneak peek of this fun family from today... we have the grandparents, their kids with their spouses, and the grandkids! Here we really see the past, present, and future of a family unit. It is so beautiful to see where they have been and where they are going, but it all starts with love from the beginning, when two people fell in love and then taught their own children to love and be loved. It was such a big group and we only had a little under 20 minutes for this session because obviously when you have a group this big at least a couple of them are going to have places they need to go and appointments to make... BUT we made it. They were so happy and so great to work with. More pictures to come!

Lindsey's Bridal Session
"..As a bell that is rung, Or a wonder told shyly, And O she was the Sunday in every week." - Austin Clarke ~ (The Planter's Daughter)
Here is a sneak peek of Lindsey's Bridal Session in Texas... what a stunning bride! I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with Lindsey, her mother and future mother in law. They were such a joy to work with.
